More than 300 experts across 11 countries have united to call for the protection of Woogaroo Forest. Signatories include Professor Carlos Afonso Nobre, creator of the Amazonia 4.0 project; Professor Hugh Possingham, co-author of the EPBC Act itself; the Hon. Robert Hill AC, former Federal Environment Minister; and Professor Emerita Carmen Lawrence AO, former WA Premier.
The Open Letter and an accompanying petition of more than 21,500 signatures will be formally presented to Federal Environment Minister Murray Watt on 23 June 2026. Full details, including the complete list of signatories, will be published here following the handover.
